South Florida’s most expensive single-family home will get a revised property tax bill after Broward’s appraiser determined it’s eligible for an exemption.
Le Palais Royal — much of it complete after eight years of construction — is a 25,294-square-foot mansion at 935 Hillsboro Mile in Hillsboro Beach. Its walls and crown moldings are adorned with $3 million in 22-carat gold leaf, and even features an 18-seat home IMAX theater.
The mansion, owned by Robert W. Pereira, has gold leaf trim throughout its 25,294 square feet. It also has the world's first IMAX home theater, a $4 million infinity pool and a $2 million banister.
