An development just came up in the context of her sister opposing his parents being permanent guardians of their children and which could potentially have an impact on his right to serve as personal representative if a probate were to be opened. As previously mentioned though in California where they were domiciled a felony is required in order to be unable to inherit while in Florida it is merely the greater weight of the evidence similar to the difference between the criminal not guilty burden from the OJ case with the civil wrongful death verdict which found him liable.
The murdered wife had told the nanny just days before they had gone to Mexico that the husband had asked that life insurance be taken out on her life prior to the trip and the children be named as the beneficiaries and that she found it strange as they had never taken any similar steps for prior trips.
